LOCAL EVENTS AND THE ARTS Art Gallery of Bancroft The gallery provides a new exhibit every month with an "opening night" evening usually held the first Friday of each month. Many local artists are featured in these exhibits and their works are also available in the gallery gift shop. Other shows throughout the year feature well-known artists from outside of our area, which is an excellent way to expose local art enthusiasts to what is happening elsewhere. Bancroft & Area Art & Craft Guild This group of artisans and craftspeople has been active in hosting two shows each year for the past few years. Each summer and early winter their shows are well attended and feature exhibits from many local artisans and craftspeople. North Hastings Community Choir The choir meets every week to prepare for several concerts throughout the year, all of which are well attended. The choir is always looking for new members to come out and have some fun with music in a variety of styles. Rally of the Tall Pines An exciting yearly competition! The YRRF provides an excellent evening of literature every fall at the Playhouse that features a renowned Canadian author, local poetry readings, and more!
